Sakunda boss Kuda Tagwirei said: “Sad news as members of the First Lady’s security details were involved in a fatal accident this afternoon (yesterday) in Muzarabani on their way to donate foodstuffs and other goods to the vulnerable.”

Expelled Zanu PF member Godfrey Tsenengamu confirmed that the deceased was called Baba Nyevero.

TSTnews is reliably informed that the car developed breaking problems, and as the driver attempted to avoid hitting the First lady’s car ahead of him, he lost control and the car rolled down a steep decent and stopped against a tree killing the guard and injuring three others who were airlifted to Harare for treatment.

The First lady proceeded with her trip despite the accident. Zimbabweans accused her of wanting publicity for political capital and failing to delegate the Department of Social Welfare to hand food aid.

The First Lady allegedly at one point raced and overtook a speeding Zupco bus to reprimand the driver to reduce his speed.
