President Emerson Mnangagwa has come under fire for his public outbursts threatening to imprison peddlers of fake news.

Mnangagwa was riled by false news that went viral on social media that he was to extend the lockdown to 3 May, and promised to punish the culprit by meting 20 year jail sentence.
He said: ” l have asked the CIO to trace those who produced the fake news that l am going to extend the lockdown.”
Citizens took to social media to reprimand the president against being harsh to citizens for trivial issues.
Mnangagwa is regarded as the citadel of fake news for lying that he will deliver affordable, quality and guaranteed health care in the run up to the 2018 elections. The billboards were deceitful and requires a life sentence for lying to the country.
Minister Obedia Moyo should also be sentenced for spreading fake news that Wilkins Hospital was ready to handle Covid-19 patients yet the hospital did not even have a single ventilator. These fake news caused the death of Zororo Makamba. Kindly please Mr President jail the Minister of Health and Child Care.
Another lie that Mnangagwa is accused of is to hoodwink citizens that the removal of Mugabe was for the army to arrest criminals surrounding the former president, a lie that never materialised. The army and Mnangagwa removed Mugabe so that they maintain their luxurious which were under threat by G40. Lives of citizens have worsened under Mnangagwa making Mugabe a Saint.
ED should also arrest and send his Minister Gumbo for lying that the country bought fuel supplies for 2 years yet the country is still without fuel.
Another candidate for jail for spreading fake news is his Reserve Bank Governor John Panonetsa Mangudya who lied that the USD and bond had the same value and that if the bond notes fail he would resign.
ED should quickly take himself to jail for lying that all those who externalised billions of US dollars were going to be punished. Nothing was done by him and his government.

It is only Khaya Moyo who should be spared jail term because he read a truthful statement giving reasons that precipitated Mnangagwa to be fired by Mugabe.
